Lincoln!

Lincoln is an ISSR Shiloh puppy from New Zion Kennels. He was born September 25, 2009 from the Stacey/Warba litter(Blue Boy). Lincoln was hand picked for the Sussman family by breed founder Tina Barber. Lincoln is the second Shiloh from breed founder Tina Barber, that the Sussman's are lucky enough to love, as their beloved Shadow passed suddenly September 19, 2009 at almost 11 years old.

Lincoln's first BLIZZARD!

Last night as with most of New York, Long Island received a whopping 22 inches of snow!Lincoln had a blast! Running and diving into snow drifts, (good thing Lincoln is predominately black or we wouldn't have even seen him!)digging his nose into the snow and then of course running back into the kitchen to shake it ALL off! Lincoln is a lot of fun. He's like the energizer bunny - going, going, going and then SLEEP! We forgot what it was like to have a baby in the house again-But we are so happy to have him and all his puppy kisses! Everyone can't wait to come home to see little Lincoln at the end of their day!

Welcome Lincoln!

We picked up Lincoln at Kennedy airport on a beautiful, sunny Tuesday afternoon. He traveled from New Zion Kennels with his litter mate, "Orange Boy" who had an excited family waiting to greet him as well. Having never owned a Shiloh, "Orange Boy's" new family asked the Sussman's exactly how big do Shilohs get? When we explained that our Shadow's head could easily rest on our kitchen table, they seemed a tad bit surprised(shocked!)

Even though we immediately fell in love with little Lincoln, he was a bit nervous and shy with his new family. But he watched everything! In a few days Lincoln came into his own, or should I say he tried to eat everything to make it his own!

Lincoln has already gone on numerous car rides, went to Pet Smart, walked into town, went to visit his aunt and uncle, the vet,(he's already 22 pounds and growing everyday) attended a puppy class(he slept), met the vacuum and the broom and dust pan(he needed formal introductions-but loved the treat waiting for him on top of the vacuum and dust pan)- and has been petted and fawned over by numerous folks along the way! Lincoln is always happy to see his family and happily greets them, but he has especially bonded with Gene, one of the Sussman boys.
